About A Dont Hug Me Christmas Carol

A Don't Hug Me Christmas Carol is a hilarious version of ìA Christmas Carolî by Charles Dickens. This comedic tale is a sequel to the equally successful, award-winning musical entitled ìDonít Hug Meî. The show debuted in 2006 in Minneapolis.

As with A Christmas Carol, the main character ñ Gunner ñ is a mean person who does not care about Christmas. He argues with his wife and declared that he is skipping Christmas. In anger, he goes snowmobiling across the lake. Then, he fell through the ice and subsequently slipped into a coma. In his coma, gunner dreamed that he was visited by the ghost of Christmas past. Just as old Scrooge is taken to a journey to show his mistakes, so is Gunner.

In the tradition of A Christmas Carol, the musical is full of lively songs and carols, many of them are quite funny and interesting. Sven Yorgensen plays the ghost of Christmas past and many of the songs in the musical have been written or sung by Sven Yorgensen.
