About Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals is a professional American Football team that is based in Glendale, Arizona. The Cardinals is a member of the Western Division of the NFC or National Football Conference in the NFL or National Football League. The Arizona Cardinals was founded in 1898 and is the oldest continuously run professional American football club in the United States. The team is owned by Bill Bidwill, with Rod Graves as its general manager and Ken Whisenhunt as its current head coach. The Arizona Cardinals are currently the NFC Champions.

The team was first established in Chicago in 1898 and was a charter member of the National Football League in 1920. The team was originally formed as the “Morgan Athletic Club” in Chicago and was later renamed to “Racine Normals”. The team name was changed later on to “Racine Cardinals” after the club started wearing dark reddish uniforms. After becoming a charter member of the NFL, the club renamed again to “Chicago Cardinals” in order to distinguish the team from a new franchise in Racine, Wisconsin. When the team moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1960, the team renamed again to “St. Louis Cardinals”. The club was often referred to as the “Football Cardinals” or “Big Red” to distinguish them from the baseball team. The club relocated again to Phoenix and their name changed to “Phoenix Cardinals” in 1988. It switched to using “Arizona Cardinals” as its official name in 1994. All current games of the Arizona Cardinals are now played in the newly built University of Phoenix Stadium.

Aside from being the oldest existing professional football franchise in the United States, the Arizona Cardinals have a remarkable postseason history. In 1925 and 1947 they were NFL champions. The team also won three division titles in 1974, 1975, and 2008. The team played only three home playoff games during its long history, two of which happened in 2008. The team was also the last NFC team to reach the Conference Championship Game.
