Baby is a wonderful musical production that shows audiences the three different views of three different couples each expecting a baby. The musical first opened on Broadway in 1983 to 1984.
Three different couples express their views on having a baby. One couple is university juniors, the other is an athletic couple with trouble conceiving, and the last is a couple who already has three children. The show presents the different emotional stresses as well as triumphs each couple goes through as they struggle with making the right decisions as they expect the coming of their baby.
The Broadway production of Baby was first held in the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on December 4, 1983. The show ran for 241 performances and 35 previews. A much updated version was aired in the Paper Mill Playhouse on March to May 2004. The most recent production of Baby was on March 2010 at the TrueNorth Cultural Arts in Ohio.
