Chicago Blackhawks are a professional Ice Hockey team under the National Hockey League (NHL). Because of their constant winning record, the Blackhawks are famous with fans and ticket sales are constantly on the rise.
Based in Chicago, Illinois the Blackhawks are a part of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. Throughout the team history, the Blackhawks have won three Stanley Cups and one Conference championship.
The team was formed in 1926, and was a part of the leagues first expansion. In November 17, 1926, the team had their inaugural game versus the Toronto St. Patricks. They won it in a dominant fashion with a score of four to one. With these events, the franchise labeled their first season in NHL as a success.
In 2008 and 2009, the Blackhawks made some major changes in their team line-up. These changes are set to help them succeed in the seasons ahead. They closed the 2008-2009 Season in second place in their division.
