Cincinnati Bearcats is a group of varsity teams that represent the University of Cincinnati in competing in the NCAA. These teams are members of the Big East Conference, although they used to be a part of the Conference USA. The group is composed of 18 teams that play in their respective sports, such as football, basketball, swimming, volleyball, baseball, and other sports.
The group is currently headed by Mike Thomas as their athletics director, and they have made use of many of Cincinnati's landmarks as their home courts. For instance, the football team calls the Nippert Stadium as their home, while the basketball team calls the Fifth Third Arena as their home court. On the other hand, the baseball team has also used the Marge Schott Stadium as their home fields.
The team's colors are red and black. The Bearcats has been known for being the team responsible for many professional stars such as basketball stars Oscar Robertson, Jack Twyman, Nick Van Exel, Kenyon Martin, and James White.
