Bearing the artistic legacy for which the group is known, Cirque du Soleil - Ovo is a fascinating dance production featuring the whimsical insect world. Ovo features colorful costumes, Brazilian music and traditional circus arts thrown into the playful mix. The brainchild of Brazilian choreographer Deborah Colker, the program unravels when a mysterious egg comes to the lair of the insects and creates quite a stir.
Cirque du Soleil - Ovo provides another experience in seeing death-defying acrobatic skills performed to awestruck audiences. It also brings a humorous look into the ecosystem of these tiny creatures in a different light. The set design by Gringo Cardia adds more to the creative breadth of the production.
Another stellar feature of program is the venue known as the Grand Chapiteau or Big Top, which is a gigantic tent made from flame-retardant vinyl. The artistic team behind Cirque du Soleil - Ovo is led by Guy Laliberte and Gilles Ste-Croix.
