Florida State Seminoles is a group of varsity teams that represent Florida State University when competing in the NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference. The group is composed of approximately 17 varsity teams that play different recognized sports such as football, basketball, swimming, baseball, volleyball, diving, wrestling, and many other sports.
The Seminolesí current athletic director is Colonel Randy Spetman, who started his task of leading the team in February 4, 2008. Wearing their team colors of gold and garnet, the Seminoles have gone head to head against many other teams. However, they have found their traditional rivals in the University of Floridaís Gators as well as the Miami Hurricanes.
When the team plays at home, they have been using many of their schools facilities such as the Bobby Bowden Field at Doek Campbell Stadium, and the Donald L. Tucker Center, which is known to be the home court of the Seminolesí menís and womenís basketball team.
