Georgia Bulldogs is a group of varsity teams that represent the University of Georgia. The group is composed of 19 varsity teams that compete I the Southeastern Conference of the NCAA, and while all of the teams are referred to as ìBulldogs,î they have the company of ìUga, the Bulldogî as their mascot.
The teams are headed by Damon Evans as their athletic director aside from their respective coaches. The teams often play in many of Georgiaís facilities, such as the basketball team playing at the Stegeman Coliseum, the baseball team playing at Foley Field, and the football team playing their home games at Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs are proud to have produced many professional athletes who have done well in the professional field after they have finished wearing the teamís red and black colors. Some of the known Bulldogs include John Russell, Howell Hollis, Erskine ìErkî Russell, Dan Magill, Fran Tarkenton, and Wally Butts.
