The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets is a Division one team under the National Collegiate Athletic Association or NCAA in the United States. ìYellow Jacketsî is the common name used for all collegiate teams that play for the Georgia Institute of Technology, in addition the collegiate club is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Yellow Jackets is a member of the Coastal Division in the Atlantic Coast Conference or ACC. The school has 17 varsity teams that are directed by Dan Radakovich. The official colors of the school are Old Gold, White, and an alternate color of Navy Blue.
The club was also a co-founding member of the ìSIAAî or Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association in 1985. One of the popular varsity teams in the institute was the menís football team. Georgia Techís football team is in the top 20 with the most wins in Division I-A programs.
They were also the first team to win all four of the premiere big four bowls: Rose, Orange, Cotton, and Sugar Bowls.
