Born on August 20, 1979, Jamie Cullum is a British musician who is known for his unique take on jazz and pop. The singer also knows how the play the piano, the guitar and drums. According to him, he draws inspiration from such artists as Miles Davis and Tom Waits. Known as a cross over artist, Cullum has been a member of several bands of different genres from hip hop to rock. He also collaborates with his older brother.
Born in East London, Cullum studied English Literature and Film Studies graduating with First Class Honours. Primarily a jazz musician Cullum released his first album, titled ìJamie Cullum Trio-Heard It All Beforeî in 1999. He released another bestselling album ìPointless Nostalgicî after graduating from school before signing a three album contract with Universal in 2003 after it defeated Sony in a bidding war.
Cullum released ìTwentysomethingî that same year and it became the number one selling jazz album in the UK.
