Kathy Griffin is an American stand-up comedian, actress, media personality and LGBT rights advocate. Born as Kathleen Mary "Kathy" Griffin on November 4, 1960, she first gained popularity for her appearances on two episodes of the comedy show, Seinfeld. She was also popular for her supporting role on Suddenly Susan, a comedy sitcom on NBC.
Kathy Griffin has won two Emmy Awards as the executive producer of the reality show entitled Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Among other career pursuits, she has also worked as a red carpet commentator and a voice actress. In 2008 and 2009, Griffin was nominated for Best Comedy Album in the Annual Grammy Awards.
Griffin has had several stand-up special HBO and other networks as well as a number of appearances in film and television including Shrek Forever After, Around the World in 50 Years, The Marriage Ref, Law & Order Special Victims Unit and many others.
