Legally Blonde Tickets

This is the movie that propelled famous blonde Reese Witherspoon into A-list celebrity stardom. Released in 2001, this romantic comedy featured Witherspoon as a blonde sorority girl who decides to attend law school in pursuit of her boyfriend with the hope of getting him back. She ultimately discovers that Harvard Law School is not as easy as she had hoped it would be but due to sheer grit and determination, she shows her classmates that any blond can be successful in law school, especially those who simply saw her as a joke. The movie also spawned a sequel titled Legally Blond 2: Red, White and Blonde and a theatrical production, Legally Blonde: The Musical which premiered on January 23, 2007 in a pre-Broadway tryout in San Francisco.

It opened at the Palace Theater on Broadway in New York City on April 29, 2007. The musical was received with warm reviews and was even recorded for MTV on September 2007 before the channel aired it in October of the same year. The production, which starred Laura Bell Bundy played its last performance on October 19, 2008.

The movie earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy and ranked 29th on Bravo’s 2007 List of 100 Funniest Movies.
