Miami Hurricanes are the group of varsity teams that represent the University of Miami. These teams compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division, and it is composed of 15 athletic teams that play in various sports such as football, basketball, baseball, diving, tennis, track and field, cross-country, rowing, swimming, and more.
The teamís colors are green, white, and orange, and its mascot is an ibis named ìSebastian.î The team enjoys much of the support of the locals in Miami, and it has various locations in the city as its home courts. The Sun Life Stadium is the home of the football team, the Alex Rodriguez Part at Mark Light Field is the home of the baseball team, and for the basketball team it would be the BankUnited Center.
The teams are currently headed by Kirby Hocutt, and have been in close rivalry with some of the neighboring teams. Their traditional rivals include the Gators of the University of Florida, and the Seminoles of Florida State University.
