About Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles is a professional American football team that is based in Philadelphia. The team is a member of the East Division of the NFC or the National Football Conference of the National Football League. The club was established in 1993. It was formed as a replacement team for the Frankford Yellow Jackets went bankrupt. The team got its named from the Blue Eagle which is a symbol used for stimulus programs for New Deal during the Great Depression.

The Philadelphia Eagles have won three NFL Titles and have appeared twice in the Super Bowl though losing to Oakland Raiders in 1980 and to New England Patriots in 2004. The team has been played by several prominent football players who were eventually inducted to the Professional Football Hall of Fame. These players include Reggie White, Bob Brown, Chuck Bednarik, Earle “Greasy” Neale, Tommy McDonald, Sonny Jurgensen, Pete Pihos and Norm Van Brocklin.

The official colors of the Philadelphia Eagles have always been silver, Kelly green and white. Since the 50’s, the team players’ helmets have always featured eagle wings. The team is also known for its various charitable activities such as the Eagles Youth Partnership and the Eagles Fly for Leukemia.

Some of the same folks who for years said Andy Reid had to cut ties with Donovan McNabb are now saying the Eagles are headed for trouble with Kevin Kolb at quarterback. I don't see the sky falling in Philly just yet.
