Promises-Promises is a popular English musical play based form the film ìThe Apartmentî written by Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond in 1960.
Burt Bacharach was responsible in creating the playís music while the lyrics were made by Hal David. The show had musical play had three musical productions.
The show had two Broadway productions and one West End. The play was formed on 1968 at Broadway.
It was played for 1,281 times and succeeded with a London production in 1969 featuring Tony Roberts and Betty Buckley as the casts. The play in London coveted one Grammy Award for the best cast recording.
The inaugural production in Londonís West End was held at the Prince of Wales Theater in 1969. It featured Tony Roberts and Betty Buckley as the casts.
Promises-Promises became a hit single for an American recording artist named Dionne Warwick.
On April 25, 2010, a Broadway revival of the play debuted.
