Riverdance Tickets

The Riverdance is a theatrical show that focuses on the traditional Irish step dance. The dance is known for its rapid leg movement at the same time the dancer’s body and arms are often kept stationary.

The Riverdance was first introduced to the public in April 30, 1994, as an interval at the Eurovision Song Contest. Since the small act received a standing ovation despite being an interval, the dance has been noted as the most popular interval act in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Riverdance is produced by a husband and wife team: Moya Doherty and John McColgan. Abhann Productions, their production company, is based in Dublin, and it was in November 1994 when the first full-length performance of Riverdance was held.

Currently, the Riverdance is currently running on its farewell tour. It has been 15 years since it has opened at Point theatre Dublin, and a show has been recorded in Beijing to be released in Blu-Ray sometime in the summer of 2010.
