About Rodney Carrington

Rodney Scott Carrington is a country music artist, actor, and stand-up comedian, who was born on October 19, 1968 in Longview, Texas. Carrington is known for his six studio albums, comedy act, and for starring in the sitcom called "Rodney".

Starting as a comedian at local clubs, Carrington also gained a huge amount of exposure through his appearances at radio programs in shows such as The Bob and Tom Show. His debut album came out in 1998, entitled "Hangin' with Rodney," under Mercury Records Nashville. Unlike other regular albums that mostly compose of songs, Carrington's album was a mix of original songs and stand-up comedy. Incidentally, this was the album that brought out the song "Letter to My Penis," which reached the Top 100 of Top Country Albums.

The latest single Carrington released was in 2009, which was also his first Christmas album called, "Make it Christmas." The album contains his first song that reached the Top 40 charts.
