About Steve Harvey

American actor and comedian Steve Harvey was born on January 15, 1957 and is best known as the star of the Steve Harvey Show in WB. He was one of the four people featured in the Spike Lee movie ìThe Original Kings of Comedyî and is currently the host of his own radio show, the Steve Harvey Morning Show. He has also authored several books, among them the Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really About Love, Relationships, Intimacy and Commitment. Prior to pursuing a career as an actor Harvey worked as an insurance salesman and a boxer.

He started doing stand-up comedy in the 80s and placed second at the second annual Johnny Walker National Comedy Search, which paved the way for his becoming the host of ìItís Showtimeî at the Apollo, a post that he held for a long time. It was announced on January 2010 that Steve Harvey would be replacing John OíHurley as the host of Family Feud starting September 2010.
