The Little Red Hen is a theater that is located in 316 Main Street, Wakefield, Nebraska, that hosted its first production in the summer of 1992. The Hobbit was the theatreís first presentation. Through the help of volunteers, the theatre was born after months of finding a good space to set up and stage building was done.
The theater has thrived through the help of its volunteers who have pitched in to create props, run sound and light tests, and at some point even performed. Supporters and patrons are always welcome at the theater as the casts have varied from large to small over the years. In 2005, a newer and better theater was created, and they were able to present a beautiful opening show during that summer.
The Little Red Hen theatre offers various events ranging from musicals, art shows, dramas, Nunsense shows, and Luna Y Sol instrumental concerts. Acting workshops and other opportunities have also been hosted at the theatre since its opening.
