Toronto Raptors Tickets in Houston

The Toronto Raptors is a team of professional basketball players who are part of the National Basketball Association’s Eastern Conference. The team was created in 1995 together with another professional basketball team, the Vancouver Grizzlies. This was a part of the league’s expansion to Canada, and since the Grizzlies later moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 2001, the Raptors are the only team in the NBA that is based in Canada.

Like most of the expansion teams in the NBA, the Raptors struggled during its first few years until Vince Carter was acquired through a draft day trade. Since then, the Raptors were able to make the NBA Playoffs. When Carter was traded in 2004, Chris Bosh took the lead but was not able to pull the team to the NBA Championships.

The Raptors are owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., and is managed by Bryan Colangelo. The team is currently coached by Jay Triano, and the team’s colors are black, silver, red, and white.
