UCLA Bruins is the group of varsity athletic teams that play for the University of California, Los Angeles (or UCLA). The Bruins are composed of a number of teams that play for various sports such as gymnastics, soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, track and field, and water polo. The group is currently headed by Dan Guerrerro, and they compete in the NCAA Division I Pacific 10 Conference.
The Bruinsí team colors are gold and true blue, and they play most of their games in various sports facilities in Los Angeles, such as the Rose Bowl for football games, Jackie Robinson Stadium for baseball games, and the Pauley Pavilion for the basketball games. In addition, the group is best known for being the top team for accumulating 105 NCAA team championships as of 2009, plus 125 national team championships.
Some of the most notable Bruins include Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Reggie Miller, Bill Walton, and Arron Afflalo.
