UNLV Rebels are a group of varsity teams that represent the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The group is composed of menís and womenís sports teams in various sports such as golf, basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, diving, and soccer.
Since the school is considered as one of two major colleges in the state, the Rebels have a heated rivalry against University of Nevada, Reno. The group is currently led by their athletics director Jim Livengood, and they play many of their home games in various sports facilities found in the state as well as in the university. Some of the facilities being used include the Sam Boyd Stadium for football games, Cox Pavilion for basketball games, and others.
The schoolís colors are grey and scarlet, while their mascot is called ìHey Reb!î The group is also known for being the homes of many known athletes such as Larry Johnson, Sidney Green, Stacey Augmon, Greg Anthony, and Armon Gilliam.
