About Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson, born Willie Hugh Nelson, is a singer-songwriter, poet, author, activist and actor. He is well-known as a country music artist and has achieved popularity during the 1970's outlaw country movement. Willie Nelson, since then, has remained iconic especially in the popular culture of America.

Nelson has continued to tour and is still active in the country music scene. He has scheduled shows and concerts even in his 70s and is still known to perform excellently in fundraisers and concerts along with other great musicians such as Neil Young, Dave Matthews and Bob Dylan. He also went on to record and release several albums with music that transcend several genres such as blues, jazz, reggae, folk and pop music.

Willie Nelson has won several awards since his stardom in the 1970s. His first award was a Grammy for Best Country Performance by Duo/Group With Vocals and his most recent award was another Grammy for Best Country Collaboration Vocals.

Bust

Willie's Ontario Throwdown was a stunning disapointment. The tickets said that doors opened at 2:30 PM and Concert started at 3:00 PM. In fact there was a band plating in the parking lot and the Concert with Willie playing didn't start until 10:00 PM. This was not clearly marketed in any way. I can not tell you how Willie was because I was not willing to sit around for 7 hours to find out. What a bust.
