Xavier Musketeers is a group of athletic groups that represent Xavier University in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Ten Conference. The group is made up of a number of men and women varsity teams in various sports such as basketball, baseball, football, and swimming, and is cheered on by their mascot, ìDíArtagnan the Musketeer.î One of the things that Xavier is known for is the fact that the graduation rate of athletes in the university is at 94%.
The Musketeers have produced many notable professional athletes such as Jim Bunning who is a Baseball Hall of Famer, and junior U.S. Senator. There is also Lionel Chalmers who is known for being an American playing professional basketball in Europe, and was a former player of the Los Angeles Clippers. Danny Abramowicz is another notable athlete who went on to be an NFL wide receiver, and Michael Hawkins who later played in the NBA.
