The Atlanta Braves are a professional baseball team in the United States. They are based out of Atlanta, Georgia and was created in 1966. By winning three World Series titles, the Braves have become one of the Major League Baseball’s teams that have high turnouts of game tickets. 

The Braves belong to the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball. The team was established in 1871. Back then, they played at the South End Grounds. The team current name “Braves” originated from a term for a Native American warrior. They received their permanent name in the early 1910s. 

This baseball team is one of the few teams in the MLB that have had much success. They hold a record for the most consecutive wins, which spanned 14 years. The team reached the World Series five teams in the 90’s and winning the Championship in 1995.

In the off-season of 2009, the Braves made major changes to their roster of players they acquired Kenshin Kawakami, a Japanese pitcher from Tokushima. This move was done in order to bolster their current roster.
