The Boston Celtics, based in Boston, MA are a popular American professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Tickets for a Celtics game is always in demand due to their fame in the field of basketball. Their 17 championship titles also help add to their popularity among fans. One of their latest wins was that of the 2008 NBA title. The Team is was founded in 1946.
The Celtics are one of the few National Basketball Association teams with the most championship titles in their name. They are also noted for their rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks. The years between 1957 and 1979, were very significant for the Celtics as during this time, they won 11 championship titles. They also hold the record for having the longest winning streak, which lasted 8 years. They are considered my many fans and critics alike as one of the most dominant team in the history of United States Basketball.
