The Cleveland Cavaliers or “Cavs” to their fans are one of the 30 basketball teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the United States. Recently, they drafted “LeBron Raymone James”, the ‘King’, as their number one pick. This is considered by fans and critics alike as, one of the greatest moves that the team has done for the past 10 years.
With the “King” at the helm of team’s roster, more and more Cavalier fans are purchasing their game tickets. The team is based in Cleveland, Ohio and started playing professionally in 1970.
The Cavaliers belong to the Central Division of the Eastern Conference under the NBA. The Cavaliers acquired Shaquille O’neal from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for center Ben Wallace and guard Sasha Pavlovic in June 25, 2009. O’neal is a four time NBA Champion and a 15-time All-Star.
In February 17, 2010 the team acquired All-Star forward Antawn Cortez Jamison and guard Sebastian Telfair from LA Clippers in a three way trade. These off-season and season moves, the lead the Cavaliers to now be the top seeded team of the Eastern Conference in the NBA.
