Daughtry is a rock band from the American state of North Carolina. It was founded and fronted in 2006 by an American Idol finalist in season 5 named Chris Daughtry. In the same year, their self-titled debut album was released and reached the top spot in the Billboard Top 200 and stayed there for two non-consecutive weeks.

Daughtry’s first album sold more than four million copies worldwide. With its commercial success, it was named the top selling album of the year in 2007 by Billboard. The band has toured consistently since their success in 2007 and has opened for several notable bands including Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd and Bon Jovi in several countries including Canada, Singapore, Australia and many others.

The band consists of Chris Daughtry in lead vocals and guitar; Josh Steely, in backing vocals and lead guitar; Josh Paul in bass; Brian Craddock in the rhythm guitar; and Joey Barnes in percussions, keyboard and drums.
