About Jason Aldean Concerts
Jason Aldean is an American country music star from Macon Georgia. He grew up going to shows by Kenny Rogers, the Gatlin Brothers, and Alabama. Self taught guitarist at an early age, he was inspired by a country music awards show on TV and at 14 years old Aldean decided to try his hand at performing. He sang two songs at the VFW Hall in Macon. After that, he began performing at area talent contests and local fairs.
At 15, he joined the house band at the Macon nightspot Nashville South. A year later, he bought his first truck, a 1985 Toyota pickup with a rusted-out tailgate. A year later after his high school graduation, he decided being a full time musician was something he wanted to do and began booking shows in college towns in Florida, Alabama and Georgia. After a showcase at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville in early 2004, he caught the ear of manager Lawrence Mathis. Aldean said he had six months to make something happen or else he'd be leaving Nashville. Within five weeks, Mathis secured him a record deal with the independent label Broken Bow Records.
Jason Aldean has produced a number of hits including ten singles that made in to the Billboard country singles charts. Some of his most popular songs included Hicktown, Why, Amarillo Sky, Johnny Cash, Laughed Until We Cried among many others. He has performed with several successful artists including Bryan Adams on the June 26, 2009 episode of CMT Crossroads.
Jason Aldean has recorded three albums on the Broken Bow Records label and they include: Jason Aldean, Relentless, and Wide Open. From these albums eight singles have appeared on the Billboard country charts, including "Why", "She's Country", and "Big Green Tractor". His first album received a certified platinum honor by the Recording Industry Association of America, while the other two are each certified gold albums.
