We had never been to an NFL game before and this was an amazing experience. We were sitting with the players family and could see everything. New Orleans is a great place to watch a football game.

About NewOrleansSaints
The New Orleans Saints is an American football team that is based on New Orleans. Formed in 1967 by David Dixon, the Saints belong to the South Division of the National Football Conference of the NFL. The team had to wait a relatively longer time than most before having a winning season, riding the waves from 1987 to 1992 when they made it to the playoffs four times. In 2000, the team defeated the St. Louis Rams for the play-off win.

The Saints’ home base is the New Orleans Superdome, which has been the team’s home since the 70s. Due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina which required a renovation of the Superdome, the team had to move their 2006 post season games to Shreveport, Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi. The Saints played their first game in the Superdome for the first time after Katrina on September 25, 2006, a game that they won against the Atlanta Falcons, the undefeated team for the 2006 season. The Superdome was sold out for the entire season, and TV broadcasts of the Saints and Falcons game gained ESPN its highest rating in its history with a rating of 11.8. U2 and Greenday were on site to perform before the game.

The Superdome was still sold out in 2007, although the Saints lost to the Indianapolis Colts and lost the next three games. This was, however, followed by a win against the Seattle Sea Hawks.
