Penn Jillette and Teller or simply ìPenn & Tellerî is an act that shows an blend of comedy and illusion. It is unclear though as to when the show was created, however, Penn Jillette is known to be a raconteur, while Teller uses mime during performances.
The show is known for their talent in exposing frauds, gory tricks, clever pranks, and have been connected to many of Las Vegasí libertarianism, atheism, and scientific skepticism.
Though the group started somewhere between the late 1970s and 1981, the show was more on the sillier perspective and not as edgy as the shows of later years. By 1985, show became further refined, which gained favorable reviews and even an Emmy Award for their television special.
Interestingly, Penn and Teller do not share a close bond when they are not performing in a show. Of course they have a mutual respect for each other on stage, and they enjoy working with each other, however, when the show is over, the duo parts ways and rarely socialize if there is no need to.
