About Train

Train is an American rock band from San Francisco that was formed in 1994. It consists of Jimmy Stafford, Scott Underwood and Patrick Monahan. Their debut album ìTrainî was released in 1998 and achieved mainstream sensation and is certified platinum by the RIAA.

While their second album ìDrops of Jupiterî was released on March 27, 2001. It was certified double platinum in US and Canada and a certified gold in Australia. Their single ìDrops of Jupiter (Tell me)î earned them two Grammy awards in 2002 for Best Rock Song and Best Arrangement.

Their third album entitled ìMy Private Nationî was certified platinum and was released in June 2003. In 2006, the band released their fourth album ìFor Me, Itís Youî, however, it was not commercially successful which led them to a three year hiatus.

In 2009, they released their fifth album ìSave Me, San Franciscoî last October 27, 2009. Their lead single ìHey Soul Sisterî charted #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #17 on the Billboard 200 chart.
